It's like Marmite!
Gosh our home on Houzz caused quite a lot of mixed opinion! I had fun reading all the comments good and bad!! Imagine if I hadn't tidied up!
Anyway on the upside my first Etsy customer to come via the Houzz site yesterday, a lovely lady in Auburn, U.S.A. So thank you to her for buying some cards.
I loved reading all the comments on your house!! (Which to me looks great and full of interesting things to look at and one hundred times tidier than our victorian terrace in Bristol...) So funny what people feel like commenting on.
Hi Tracey! Sorry I missed your post yesterday so I've just been for a look now. I think your house is fantastic. It's a proper family home full of colour, great design and your lovely artwork. I find it very disrespectful that people would be so critical when clearly you have a great home. I for one love it! x
i love your home! Reminds me of my own, and we do share the same style/ guitar playing, minimalistic craving men. Your home made me want to come over for a glass of red (have quit smoking). Blue door..Notting Hill your fave film?(lol)
Your home is wonderful. People are just used to looking at ridiculously minimalist, completely impractical homes. I love yours, your creativity shines through from every room and it looks so warm and inviting.
I just read the comments on Houzz and felt I had to add my two cents worth...so you can check there to see how I feel about your home.I would love to see it 'in person'. I am sure I would be a rude guest because I would spend hours looking at each and every wonderful treasure you have. I love to have my 'stuff' surrounding me where I can see it all the time. (unfortunately, my husband would like to live in zendo...completely empty except for a mattress and a flower) I do think it is good for people like us to have a minimalist spouse...it balances the space we have.)
Keep up the good work! (the woman from Auburn Maine aka Crigen)

ReplyDeleteI think your house looked gorgeous - and unlike most interiors features it actually looks like someone lives in it!

ReplyDeleteGlass of wine anytime your welcome. Yes the guitar is like a second wife!
