So Christmas Eve is here, my sons are of course excited and we are ready to spend a few family days together having a rest and enjoying our home!
I am very happy that I manged to complete the Advent challenge and I am now looking forward to seeing what lies ahead in 2015.
Thank you and best wishes to all my lovely followers out there.
Happy Christmas!!
The stockings are hung up! I keep telling my sons they are getting too old for a stocking but at the age of 11 and 13 they insist that they are not!! and a lovely wreath that I saw on a door the other day when I was shopping in Notting Hill.
Schools have finished, I think the holidays can begin, but first I need to go and do one last bit of present shopping in town, I am guessing I will be on one very crowed bus!!!
My youngest son won his schools Christmas card competition, he didn't put the words on, it's a church school they added that bit but his design did need to have religious content!
Today the children finish school for two week, so of course there are a lot of smiling faces around the streets, and our tree is up, a smaller slimmer one this year which is good as it actually fits in the house!!
The ugly Christmas jumper is everywhere, my step daughter loves them and always treats herself to one from Primark each year! She doesn't live in the U.K and for her it is a great source of amusement!
and my Christmas elves always sit on our mantle piece keeping watch!
Hyacinth bulbs, I always try to have a pot of them in the house over the Christmas holidays, I then plant them in the garden for the next year and some old cake decorations which also came from my Grandma's house!
We have not brought our Christmas Crackers yet, there are always so many lovely designs, its always hard to choose, and my collection of vintage baubles from my Granny they are always my favourite to hang on the tree.
It's Monday again and after a hectic weekend, I think a week of chores and catching up lies ahead, we did manage to put our tree up yesterday and my request for a smaller skinny one was answered!!
It rarely snows in London but still we like the thought of it and perfect clementines that arrived in the veggie box yesterday, a must for the Christmas holidays.
