Birthday Boy

My youngest son turned 10 today and it coincided with me receiving a new camera which I think will be Christmas and birthday presents for the next ten years!! (no where near my birthday I hasten to add!) I now ust want the sun to shine now so that I can go snap away!!

and Finally....

...Switzerland is full of beautiful views so today I will share a couple of them! The highlight for all of us was swimming in the glacier streams of the Verzasca Valley, extremely cold but perfect and yes even I got in and I hate cold water!!

Swiss Inspiration Part 2!

As a follow on from yesterday a few more snaps, a little bit of street art I guess, not sure the graffiti Queen would make it to the National Gallery! Tomorrow will be the final day.......... promise!!

After a long drive.....

......roughly 3000km, we are finally back in London, I have to admit to not doing the driving, thank you to my other half who is always calm and patient behind the wheel!
As always with family holidays there are so many photo's to sort through, so I will post a few inspiration ones over the next few days!

Yipee!

Tomorrow we start our family summer holiday, we are driving to Switzerland, and will stay here and near here and on the way there and back we will stay here! Thank you to all my new and old followers for dipping in and out and I look forward to catching up with every ones blogs when we return!

......did some more work on my other mono print, on a  roll now but need to break for a while as the boys have finished school they were up at 6 am and are ready to start there holidays!!
Frustrating but that's family life!

Count down!

No longer a count down of days now just hours till the boys break for summer, of course I am completely behind.............so much still to do but have run out of time!!
Anyway in the odd moment of creativity I have been working on my mono screen prints adding some collage, scanning them in, playing around, loads of ideas mounting up that now need to wait!!
Anyway this is the cityscape which needs a little more added then I will add them to my shop after the mayhem of the school break.

Birds Eye View.

A few weeks ago, we ventured up the Shard for a birthday celebration, amazing to see London lying down at our feet! It was rather late in the evening so the light wasn't brilliant but now I know how and what the birds see everyday.

Yipee!

Last week I won a giveaway, yah!!!! It was an understatement to say that I was really thrilled.
Lou at LittleGreenshed was hosting a Roddy and Ginger giveaway, and I got the lucky ticket, love Virginia's work she has so many fantastic designs and there are lots of wonderful things to be see and brought in her Etsy shop too!

Nature in the Home, week 20!

I have missed the last few of the Nature in the Home series, just too much going on so I was determined to join in the final one, the topic this week is "round." Our garden now is pretty scorched but the succulents are doing well and this one is kind of round in structure if nothing else!
