This week has been all about fruit. I had great fun with these and the possibilities are of course endless!

In love with blue.......

Inspired by the MATS Bootcamp project, I was very keen to try out some more blue designs!

Bootcamp-February-wood challenge

This months Bootcamp assignment was to paint on wood any scene you were inspired by!
I initial roughs were to be taken from scenic plate designs! I was inspired by a little plate that I picked up in a car boot sale. Sadly not good chucks of wood in London, well not in the time scale that we had,so I sourced a piece of ply from a craft store instead. This was a great project as it was really open and everyone has create something completely different. You can see this months gallery here  and I'm on page 2!

Scrap Exchange!

Before Christmas I signed up with The collage Scrap exchange! We were given a scrap partner and away we went, I was teamed up with a lovely lady in Detroit! My envelope of goodies arrived soon after Christmas and then the creating could begin. I tried to use solely her scraps, but ended up finding the birds from elsewhere.
It is run as a competition and the deadline has been extended to 15th March I think, as many scraps got stuck in the Christmas post! So I'm looking forward to seeing the winning entry then. In the meantime it was lots of fun and i still have plenty of scraps so i could make another one!

Something New.....

This January I joined Gibson and Holt's, they now have some of my designs in there portfolio and throughout the year I will be adding some new ones.

Instagram

At the weekend I reached a little milestone on Instagram and passed the1,000 followers mark, I try to post on there everyday, sometimes photo's , sometimes collage work whatever I have been up to really, I love the inspiration that Instagram offers and i am happy that it is not just for teenagers.

Manifesto..............

Part of Bootcamp was to design a manifesto, I have to admit taking these on line courses has given me a new lease of creative life, so I wanted  to try and capture that in my image.

MATS!

The Lilla Rogers Boot camp is up and running again, great to be pushed out of our comfort zones and tackle a new theme! This months topic was Edwardian Brooches, my final design I think is far removed from that subject matter, but I did get my inspiration from the brooches so hope it counts, here you can see my process in pictures!
