New Purchase.......

Yesterday I promised I would share my new Etsy buy, so before the day runs away here it is, Caroline from Scraps of us blog has just set up a shop, she always takes such lovely photo's that I knew her shop would be just as great. Anyway I brought these lovely coasters which now sit on my living room table!

Is the last day of summer?

Today in London it is forecast to be 28 degrees and tomorrow is 19 degrees and wet, so with that in mind I took my camera on the dog walk this morning just to take a few last shots of the wild flowers before they are over.
The boys are back at school and I have a very long list of chores and things I want to do, so need to get started!
 Also today arrived in the mail a lovely little parcel with something I ordered from a new Etsy shop,  I will blog that tomorrow.

Contrasts.

I have really had no time this school holidays to create any design work but inspired by this months Tigerprint Competition and my new camera I did produce these!

Beauty in Nature.

The garden is fading......a few shots of what is left in our little patch.

Mobile Love.

I always love mobiles and the only treat I brought back from our Swiss trip was a new one to hang in the door between the lounge and dining room, it is constantly moving, gentle twisting, it is very hard to photograph partly as it is a little dark in that spot, I really need to hang it in a lighter spot and then try again.

Fading......

This year in our local park they let the wildflower patches reseed themselves, they are now slowly dying off but somehow they hold lots of memories of the summer.

Wildlife.....

Look away if you hate them but really when you look closely they are amazing, I am not a big fan but still wonder at the way they work!

Day Trips

Last week we made a couple of day trips, one to Windsor and one to Twickenham and Eel Pie Island, both by the River Thames, so plenty of opportunities to take pictures of boats!

Birthday Boy

My youngest son turned 10 today and it coincided with me receiving a new camera which I think will be Christmas and birthday presents for the next ten years!! (no where near my birthday I hasten to add!) I now ust want the sun to shine now so that I can go snap away!!

and Finally....

...Switzerland is full of beautiful views so today I will share a couple of them! The highlight for all of us was swimming in the glacier streams of the Verzasca Valley, extremely cold but perfect and yes even I got in and I hate cold water!!
